Vamos regressar às origens, recuperar o que pudermos, vaguear no tempo, prevenir, equilibrar e transformar dentro e fora de nós próprios.

Todo o sentido do campo será conseguido se cada um der o seu melhor e entrar no JOGO sabendo desfrutar do espaço conseguido para o acampamento, da sua panorâmica privilegiada sobre a Serra de Sintra, e de toda a envolvência que quisemos pôr na dinâmica do campo para nestes quatro dias estarmos juntos, crescermos e passarmos o testemunho para os que não puderam ou não quiseram estar presentes.

Here we are at the gate to the Adventure and the Party.

We will return to the roots, recover what we can, wander over time, prevent, balance and transform within and outside ourselves.

The whole sense of the field will be achieved if everyone gives their best and play the game, knowing how to enjoy the area selected for the camp, its privileged view to the Serra de Sintra, and all the involvement that we wish to put in to the dynamics of the camp for us to be together in these four days, growing and passing the testimony to those who could not or did not want to be present.

Vamos ter em campo uma equipa de Serviços Clínicos permanente, formada por médico e enfermeiros.

Não se esqueçam que Sintra tem um microclima muito próprio, com alguma humidade, e que deverão vir preparados com agasalho e/ou impermeável para não necessitarem de recorrer aos préstimos desta equipa, tão útil, que nos dá tanta segurança mas que, trabalha nos bastidores...

No domingo, durante a manhã, vamos ter em campo uma unidade móvel de serviço de recolha de sangue para quem puder e quiser, dar o seu contributo, tão necessário em certos momentos da vida de qualquer um.

Já faltam apenas sete dias que vão passar a correr.

We are going to have in camp a permanent team of Clinical Services, formed by one doctor and nurses.

Do not forget that Sintra has its own microclimate, with some humidity. You must come prepared with a sweater and / or a waterproof to avoid the need of services from that team, so useful, that provides us security, but that works behind the scenes...

On Sunday, during the morning, we will have in camp one blood collection mobile unit for those who can and want to give their contribution, so precious in certain moments of anyone’s life.

There are already only seven days left to Acanac!

O dia em que podem haver visitas em campo será o dia 1 de Agosto, sábado, a partir das 14.30h.

Se alguma das visitas quiser ficar para o "Jantar do Reino" terá de fazer a respectiva reserva do Jantar para o número 962 854 540 (João Policarpo) até dois dias antes (dia 30), e pagar a importância de 10€.

Organizar a Vizinhança Global

Este será talvez maior desafio que se colocou até hoje à humanidade. Ao descobrirmos que entre a crosta terrestre, o mar, a atmosfera e os seres vivos, existe uma rede complexa de interligações permanentes que sustentam a vida no planeta, temos de adaptar o nosso modo de vida e organização a este funcionamento global da Biosfera.

Somos todos vizinhos, todos dependemos de todos e problemas globais não se resolvem de forma isolada.

O que é o Condomínio da Terra?

Tal como as escadas, telhado e corredores de um prédio, também o nosso planeta tem partes comuns. Partes essas que são imprescindíveis à vida humana e que estão a precisar de manutenção urgente. Se num prédio garantimos a manutenção das partes comuns através do Condomínio, porque não fazemos o mesmo para o planeta? O Condomínio, depois de separar e organizar o que são partes comuns e partes individuais, permite que os interesses particulares e colectivos, frequentemente opostos, se conciliem e se tornem interdependentes. E se pensássemos a Terra como um imenso Condomínio?

Quais são as Partes Comuns?

A atmosfera, a hidrosfera e a biodiversidade, são partes comuns do planeta. Não só porque ultrapassam todas as fronteiras e os serviços que prestam não podem ser divididos mas também porque todos dependemos delas para viver e todos as podemos afectar de forma positiva ou negativa.

A atmosfera protege a vida no planeta e o facto de criarmos fronteiras, não impede a livre circulação do ar incessantemente, por todo o globo.

A hidrosfera é o conjunto de todas as águas do planeta. As águas circulam livremente por todo o planeta, independentemente das fronteiras políticas. Ninguém consegue parar ou dividir o ciclo da água, ou sequer prever para onde é que a água vai a seguir.

A biodiversidade define-se como a totalidade dos recursos vivos e dos recursos genéticos do planeta. O conjunto das formas de vida do planeta compõe um ecossistema global e os serviços essenciais que a biodiversidade presta, não respeitam qualquer fronteira.

Serviços dos Ecossistemas

A Biodiversidade e os ecossistemas, são os “motores” das partes comuns, ou seja, são eles que sustentam a regulação dos ciclos da natureza, sendo determinantes no funcionamento dos serviços ambientais vitais. Estes serviços podem ser definidos como aqueles capazes de sustentar e satisfazer as condições de vida humana.

Soberania Complexa

A Soberania Complexa é uma proposta de coexistência de soberanias autónomas num espaço colectivo, ou seja, um poder político, supremo e independente, relativo à fracção territorial de cada Estado, e partilhado, no que concerne às partes insusceptíveis de divisão jurídica, (atmosfera, hidrosfera e biodiversidade) das quais todos os povos são funcionalmente dependentes.

Economia de Simbiose

A Economia de Simbiose propõe uma articulação daquilo a que se poderia chamar de “economia da manutenção dos sistemas vitais” com a tradicional economia de produção. Aproveitando a valoração económica dos Serviços Ecológicos Vitais já desenvolvida pela Economia Ambiental, integra-se esta valoração com o conceito de partes comuns, proposta pela Soberania Complexa. O objectivo é tornar possível a gestão global dos bens indivisíveis.

Valoração dos Serviços Ambientais

Para entender o conceito agora proposto, é fundamental distinguir a soberania ou propriedade que é exercida sobre os ecossistemas, dos serviços vitais que estes prestam. Estes serviços não se confinam a nenhuma linha de fronteira, a nenhuma forma de titularidade ou soberania, são “usados” por todos, em qualquer ponto do planeta e por isso são de interesse comum. Se o valor destes serviços vitais é de alguma forma incalculável, precisamente porque são vitais, resta-nos a certeza de que os ecossistemas prestam serviços cujo valor económico deveria ser muito superior aos lucros gerados pela exploração tradicional dos seus recursos. As árvores deveriam valer mais vivas do que o valor da sua madeira!

Organising the Global Neighbourhood

This will probably be the greatest challenge ever faced by Mankind. As we have now discovered that there is a tangle of permanent interconnections that sustain life on the planet between the Earth’s crust, the ocean, the atmosphere and all living beings, the time has come when we must adapt our lifestyle and organisation to this global functioning of the Biosphere.

We are all neighbours, we all depend on all and global problems cannot be solved in isolation.

What is the Earth Condominium?

Our planet has common parts, just like the stairs, roof and hallways of a building. These parts are indispensable to human life and are in need of urgent maintenance. If in a building we guaratee the maintenance of the common parts through the condominium, why not do the same with the planet? After separating and organising the common parts and the individual parts, the condominium allows the apparently opposite private and collective interests to conciliate themselves and even become mutually dependent. What if we thought the Earth as an immense condominium?

Which are the Common Parts?

The Atmosphere, the Hydrosphere and the Biodiversity are common parts of the planet; not only because they surpass all borders and the services they provide cannot be divided, but also because we all depend on them to survive and may affect them positively or negatively.

The Atmosphere protects life on the planet and the fact that we create borders does not stop the air from circulating freely all over the globe.

The Hydrosphere is the entirety of the planet’s waters. The waters circulate ceaselessly, regardless of political borders. No one can stop or divide the water cycle or even predict where the water will go next.

The Biodiversity is defined as the totality of the living and genetic resources of the planet. All life forms on the planet create a global ecosystem and the essential services the biodiversity provides do not respect any borders.

Services of the Ecosystems

The ecosystems are the ‘engines’ of the common parts, that is, they are the ones who regulate the cycles of nature, being essential to the functioning of the vital environmental services. These services may be defined as those capable of providing and sustaining the conditions for human life.

Complex Sovereignty

The Complex Sovereignty is a proposal of coexistence of autonomous sovereignties in a collective space, i.e., a political power, supreme and independent concerning the territorial fraction of each State, and shared, concerning the juridical indivisible parts (atmosphere, hydrosphere and the biodiversity) of which everyone is functionally dependent on.

Economy of Symbiosis

The Economy of Symbiosis proposes the integration of what could be called ‘economy of maintenance of the vital systems’ with the economy of production. Making use of the economic valuation of the Vital Ecological Services already developed by the Environmental Economy and joining it with the concept of common parts proposed by the complex Sovereignty. The objective is to make the common management of the indivisible parts possible.

Valuation of the Environmental Services

In order to understand the concept now proposed, it is fundamental to distinguish the sovereignty or property exerted over the ecosystems, from the services they provide. These services are not confined by any borderline, nor any form of titularity or sovereignty; they are ‘used’ by all, anywhere on the planet, and are, therefore, of common interest. If the value of these vital services is somehow incalculable, precisely because they are vital, it is certain that the ecosystems provide services whose value should be far superior to the profits obtained through the traditional exploitation of these resources. The trees should be worth more alive than the value of their wood!

Como é do conhecimento de todos, o plástico, para além de ser um derivado do petróleo, causa toneladas de lixo e provoca a morte de muitos animais, quando não se têm os devidos cuidados.

Porque em Monte dos Ciprestes - Sintra, irá aparecer em Julho/Agosto de 2009 um grupo "Amigo do Ambiente" fica decretado:

- Que durante esse tempo seja banido o mais possível esse tal "plástico".

Assim, sugerimos o menor uso possível do plástico e que, sobretudo ao nível dos sacos, estes sejam mesmo de pano ou papel, dando asas à criatividade e à imaginação de cada um.

As you all know, plastic, besides being a petroleum derivative, causes tonnes of garbage and causes the death of many animals, when you do not dispose of it properly.

As in July / August 2009 a group of "Friends of the Environment" will show up in Monte of Ciprestes - Sintra, the following is mandatory:

- The use of plastic is banned, as much as possible, during that time.

So, we suggest to avoid the use of plastic whenever possible and replace it by environmentally friendly materials. Bags must be made of cloth or paper, stimulating the imagination and creativity of each one.

Toca a pôr a imaginação a trabalhar e a trazer a fatiota adequada para tão grandioso acontecimento.

Scout Movement completes 102 years and, early in the morning, we are going to celebrate its birthday.

During the morning we have to prove our physical capacities.

In the afternoon we are going to prepare the great event of the night: THE DINNER OF THE KINGDOM.

Everyone is invited to the dinner but… concerning the solemnity of the moment, everybody must be very well dressed.

We can’t forget that there is, church, nobles and people as well as royalty (this one already resident in Monte of Ciprestes).

Let’s put the imagination working and bring the right suit for so great happening!

It will be a day with all the camp invading Sintra. We go to enter in the misticism of Serra de Sintra,in the Palaces of the Kings, in the green of the Parks but everything with that spirit of the game so peculiar of Scout Movement.

The night will be the result of the constructions made during the day and also of what each one brought from his region.

Each group will bring what better shows how his region/country is (handicraft, cook, habits and customs, songs, dances, etc.)

Faltam 79 dias para o início de uma grande aventura, no Reino do Monte dos Ciprestes situado nas faldas do Mons Lunae e a cerca de 5Km do Oceano Atlântico.

A aventura decorrerá entre 1809 e 2209 e para nela participar em pleno, teremos de estar bem documentados e fazer alguns preparativos. In 79 days a great adventure will begin in Monte dos Ciprestes Kingdom, located in Mons Lunae, and about 5 Km from the Atlantic Ocean.

The adventure will take place between 1809 and 2209 and to participate, we must be well documented and prepare some things.
